God is not an object

This week Bhakta Chris gave us a nice lecture. I gathered one realization from him when he was defining God to some of our new guests:

"When it comes to loving God you can't love him as an object because the scriptures gives you the most amazing descriptions such as

He is everywhere, yet he is nowhere
He is inside of your heart but outside as well
He is one but manifests as many
He has no form, yet he is described as having a form
He has no attributes, yet he has a peacockfeather in his hair
