Enkelt leverne - Högt tänkande / Simple living - High thinking

SV: Här kommer fina bilder som vi grävt fram från Alex dator. Alex ser ni på bilden här ovan och han har bott med oss här på nimaihuset ett tag nu. Han har studerat ekoturism i 6 år i ecuador och tog tag i ett projekt för att hjälpa en shiwiar-indianstam 400 km in i regnskogshavet. Han bodde med dem i 3 månader och spelade in en dokumentär som visades på universeum för en månad sen (den 10:e nov). Här nedan följer lite bilder från ett folk som lever enkelt men i harmoni med naturen och som definitivt lever ett mer civiliserat liv än "the american dream". De tror att naturen, djuren, ja allt, har sitt ursprung ifrån ARUTAM - gud, den stora anden. Några stiger upp lite tidigare än alla andra (kl 03!) och talar om Arutam (som en meditation) = enkelt leverne - högt tänkande.

Men som vanligt finns det ett hot; Västerländsk kultur. Som behöver olja. Och oljan råkar finnas i marken där de bor. Det är nästan som ett fantomen äventyr, fast på riktigt. Skurkar och banditer med andra ord. Men Alex från Nimaihuset kämpar för att sprida medvetenhet om deras situation och idag så kom shiwiarstammen från ecuador med på Nimaibloggen!


ENG: we dug out some really nice photos from alex computer. Alex you see on the photo above, he has been staying with us here in Nimaihuset for a while and hopefully much more. He studied eco-tourism for 6 years in Ecuador and led one project to help a shiwiar-tribe 400km into the deep ocean of trees in the rainforest of Ecuador. He lived with them for 3 months and recorded a documentary that was shown in Universeum one month ago (10th nov). Below you will find some photos of a people living in harmony with nature and being far more civilized than the "american dream". They believe that everything, nature, animals, humans come from ARUTAM - god, the great spirit. Some gets up little earlier (03:00!) and remembers/speaks about Arutam (like a meditation) = simple living, high thinking.

But as usually there is a threat, and we already know this guy before; it´s the civilized man! Western culture needs oil and it happens to be in the ground, under their land. The whole situation reminds me of old "the Fantom" comics, with crooks and bandits, only this is for real! But Alex is fighting for them, spreading awareness about their situation and today the shiwiar-tribe found its way into the Nimaiblogg!

SV: Chichadrycksproduktion. Yucarotmoset tuggas och blandas med saliven och spottas ut igen gång på gång i ungefär en timme. Bara kvinnorna tillåts pga ett speciellt enzym i saliven. Sedan blandas det med vatten. Denna dryck är den viktigaste födan i hela amazonas bland alla olika folkslag.
ENG: Chicha-drink-production. The mashed yucaroots are chewed and mixed with saliva and then repeatedly spit out again for about one hour. Only the women are allowed to do this because of special enzyme in their saliva. This "soup" is mixed with water and is the most important food for all indians.

SV: Detta är ett typiskt Shiwiarhus. Det är så varmt så det behövs inga väggar. I detta hus bor familjen Santi.

SV: Det regnar ofta och mycket (det är inte för inte det kallas regnskogen). Då brukar barnen bli som galna och dansa i regnet :)
