Vaishnava funeral/Vaishnava-begravning

A couple of days ago Dadu prabhu, the receptionist of the temple where we stay at left his body to go to the spiritual world. He was conscious at the moment of death, unlike most people who die in our society in the west, half in coma and hooked up to life sustaining machines. This month is the most auspicious and so is this place. The day after his departure his body was burnt in a funeral ceremony on the banks of the river Yamuna.

Gurumaharaj said on the occasion: Everyone is always coming and going, but this one is going, not coming.

This means that Dadu will not have to reincarnate. He will stay in a spiritual body.

This we can also aspire for, to leave this world once and for all. This world is the world of exploitation. But we want to come to the world of dedication, the world of love. Haribol!

För några dagar sedan lämnade Dadu, receptionisten på templet där vi bor, sin kropp för att komma till den andliga världen. Han var medveten vid dödsögonblicket, till skillnad från de flesta som dör i vårt samhälle i väst, halft i koma och kopplad till livsuppehållande apparater.
