Poem on Janmastami by Subhal Das

Thought I would post this to celebrate this wonderful day.
Much Love and humble Obeisances to all who read it...

Ever Eternal Child

Enchanting hue of Your skin
Mysterious the color
When it comes to Kings of Hearts
You only no other
How sublime Your game
Ever Eternal child
Radiating Love true
Powerful yet mild
Silken ringlets of Your hair
Dark as the midnight sky
Rose like bloom upon Your cheeks
Crowning Your innocent smile
Grace to see You in my heart
Just a second or more
Forever in joy i'll sing and dance
My Lord I do adore
Bright jewels upon Your chest
Accent Your delicate skin
Lovingly Mother Yasoda dressed
You with cloth and pin
If I could grasp a moment with You
No longer to dwell in despair
But in turn sing Your name
Wherever I may fare
Charming are Your Lotus Feet
Blessed where they touch down
Treading the earth of Vrindavan
Make that dust my crown
If I could see beyond this world
And glimpse Your Lotus eyes
Be captivated forever more
Within Your Spiritual sky

Jai Sri Krishna!

The Science of Self Realization (Srila Prabhupada)

Excerpt from The Science of Self Realization

There is a misconception that the Krishna consciousness movement represents the Hindu religion. In fact, however, Krishna consciousness is in no way a faith or religion that seeks to defeat other faiths or religions. [] Sometimes Indians both inside and outside of India think that we are preaching the Hindu religion, but actually we are not. [] The Krishna consciousness movement has nothing to do with the Hindu religion or any system of religion."

Everything will be purified (Srila Sridhar Maharaj)

Excerpt from Awakening to the Absolute

The tent: Inverted time record

Tent-strops, cherries and plums

Kvarnby, 7 km south of the Temple. Amazing and beautiful fruit garden. Plums, cherries, grapes, redcurrants, raspberries... Putting the tent up took Sevananda and Siddhanta a long, unfocused 2,5 hours, and taking it down, equally unfocused, something like 1,5.

A deal was made with the renters to come and pick fresh, ecological, supersweet, hi-quality plums for the Sri Radhastami celebration – it's Srimati Radharani's favourite. Donating plums to Srimati Radharani on Her appearance day... Congratulations.

Psychedelic drugs and enlightenment

Picture
The human body is a wondrous gift. A bio machine whose technological complexity increases the more in microcosmos we dive.
The five senses have departments in our body, instruments with which we experience the World of five elements, this gross physical reality. The human body has many  layers, all from skin, muscle and bones to blood veins, lymph system, the nerve system bordering to the subtle meridians and astral energy centers of the psychological body.

Mystics from all traditions around the world describe the human body to be a great blessing. A vehicle that allows us to gain full awareness of being, or enlightenment.
To have a human body means a life of trials and tests designed for the individual benefit of everyone. Our choices in life will either bring us to evolve towards a higher state of consciousness or devolve into confined limited experiences.
