Srimad Bhagavatam-class on Thursdays

Warm welcome on Thursdays at 18.00, starting 8 March, to Srimad Bhagavatam-class with me.

Srimad Bhagavatam is the ripe fruit of the Vedas – dancing Vedanta on rhymed sanskrit, absolutely miraculous. It is the literary incarnation of Krishna, and one of the main scriptures of Gaudiya Vaishnavism. 

We start at 18 and go on with class and Q&A till 19-20, and afterwards some tea for those who want.

Gaura Purnima!

Warm welcome on Saturday the 3rd March to celebrate Gaura Purnima with us, the appearance of Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Gaura – the Golden Avatar (a.k.a. Nimai)

Sri Krishna Chaitanya is Krishna Himself – svayam bhagavan – coming "secretly" 500 years ago in the form of a devotee of Himself, to by His own example show the souls in the material world how to go to the Innermost Realm of the Absolute, 
the heart of God. 

We will sing devotional songs, there will be lecture, abisheka (Deity bathing), arati (Deity greeting), and lots of wonderful Prasadam – spiritualized vegetarian food.

Prabhupada dictionary

Srila Prabhupada used some English words which have unfortunately fallen out of fashion these days. In order to understand his books better, I collected a list of words I was unsure about, and looked up definitions on merriam-webster.com and dictionary.com, choosing the ones which best fit the context in which Prabhupada used the words.

Atulananda Acharya Maharaj, disciple of Srila Prabhupada and one of the two acharyas of Vrinda Mission (the other being our Gurudeva Srila B.A. Paramadvaiti Maharaj) – spiritual master, poet, and a great singer and songwriter in the Vedic tradition. 

He is in Europe for a short tour, normally stationed in South America, and we are very excited to invite you to satsang – four evenings! – with this great vaishnava and fantastic person:
